THE BUNGALOW

Our only self-catering house on the farm, was recently made available to guests looking for more ways to do nothing at all.

Previously the home to a farm manager and his family and then abandoned for 52 years, it became the new home to the owners of the farm for 6 years in 2014. The renovations allowed for the original footprint of the house to remain, adding only a wider stoep and a ringed wall to the outside.

It sleeps four people with bedroom one (king bed) situated in the house, next to its’ spacious black bathroom. Bedroom two (twin beds) is entered from the wide stoep, with the shower bathroom on the opposite side of the stoep.

The semi-open kitchen is equipped to allow you to cook wonderful meals to enjoy at one of the two round tables – one in the dining room in front of the fireplace (that doubles as a braai) and the other on the stoep, semi-al fresco. The open plan dining- and sitting room has stack doors to allow you to make a broad exit onto the stoep. In summer, the dam-like swimming pool will make the very warm Overberg summers, a little more bearable.

All bed linen and towels provided, soap and shampoo, and a hair drier. In your kitchen, the fridge will house water, milk and a roll of boerewors, bread on the kitchen counter, and plunger coffee, teas, and sugar by the kettle. Oh, and ice.

Ask us about our extra ‘fridge meals’ we cook ahead of your visit and leave in the fridge, ready for you to bake or warm up – and enjoy.

The Bungalow is available for a two-night minimum stay at R3 100 per night.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be an increase in rates by R100 per night, from 1 March 2025.

No new check-ins on Sundays.
